Kuro & Shiro, TEKKONKINKREET

Kuro Shiro TEKKONKINKREET Gerbils

Gerbils! Two of them actually. Maya and I decided to take a little donder earlier this afternoon and found ourselves – completely unplanned… – in a Pet store (Pets At Home) and seeing two little Gerbil’s, couldn’t resist inviting them home for tea.

The reason we could not resist giving these two particular gerbils a home, was that we were reminded of an anime which happens to be a favourite of ours, ‘TEKKONKINKREET‘, based on the Manga: Black & White. If you’ve not seen/read this anime/manga and it happens to bin your interests, I recommend having a watch and/or read.

Maya has also been feeling a little lonesome and missing her pup – Malon – and so our new found Gerbils are keeping her smiling and giving her someone (possibly more sane too…) to talk to.

I happened to have a spare vivarium laying around not doing too much which with a little DIY, elbow grease and cleaner, made an excellent little home for them which they have enjoyed burrowing around in already!

So, here is a picture of the new addition to our family: Kuro & Shiro.

Note: These are not Anon. food (^_^ )

Would love to hear what you think of them! =]

I was going to say something akin to the words “Do you know what snakes often eat in the wild?” but I guess you know that already…

They’re cute and I’m sure they’ll keep Maya happy!

Happy Sunday!

Hey Alex, just want to make sure you aren’t trying to keep them seperated with that tiny bit of cardboard, are you? Gerbils can jump really quite high! I had one when I was a kid and it was forever getting out of its vivarium-like tank >_<

Hope Maya likes them :D

Maya is enjoying their daft company already, yes. Me too. They make me chuckle.

@Craig | fusedreality -
They might be particularly close to where Anon. lives though! Heh heh. They’re home is right upstairs from him xD

@Kirsty -
No no, that seperates a whole level of stuff for them to burrow in with tubes and things. The lower part just has their food ‘n’ things =D so far, they seam to be loving it!

I think they are the perfect addition to your home!! We had “Stuart Little” for many years and he was well loved. Enjoy!

I had two gerbils when I was about 13. I was told they were both girls but over 100 babies later, I started to wonder……?? They ARE cute though. XX
